I didn’t always want to be a therapist in life. After growing up in Arlington, Texas and then pursuing a Communications Degree from Texas A&M University, I was interested in joining the music industry. From playing music, running my college radio station, to working for music festivals, I found joy sharing my passion with those communities. However, the pandemic made me rethink my values in life. After years in my own therapy and supporting those around me in their mental health journeys, I decided to obtain my Masters of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University to build a life full of connection, authenticity, and helping others become their best selves.

As I’ve grown as a therapist, I’ve found that I enjoy working with life transitions, identity issues, relationship issues, and trauma. I utilize Internal Family Therapy (IFS), Attachment Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to find the best fit for my client’s needs. I work to create a safe environment where we can collaborate on creating a path of healing and discovering together. Through compassion, curiosity, and connectedness, we form a secure relationship to explore every facet of life without judgment.

I work with couples, adults, and adolescents of all genders, races, classes, and sexualities. I recognize the importance of acceptance and creating a safe space to be seen, heard, and understood that can be healing in and of itself. I am also passionate about getting more men into counseling. I understand the challenge of asking for help and shaking off masculine narratives to get into therapy because I’ve battled them myself. It would be an honor and a privilege to get more men into the therapy room.

I pay attention to the mind, body, and spirit and how they connect to one another in the systems we live in. I believe that healing is a holistic journey that requires active effort to achieve growth and change. It’s not easy, but it is one of the most important decisions we can make. Together, I will help you become less judgmental of yourself and others, rewrite trauma and narratives that weigh you down, and help you discover the most authentic version of yourself to live by and find meaning through.

I offer online, in-person, and walk and talk therapy sessions. I’m flexible in mixing up the setting that best meets your needs week over week. However, for EMDR sessions I have found that the best work is done in person. Through active safety and connection, we’re able to move through trauma while being able to regulate our nervous system the best we can.

When I’m not practicing therapy, you can find me bouldering at the climbing gym, jumping around at a concert on Red River, playing (losing at) board games with my friends, or watching the Sopranos with my cats (Sophie and Sammie). I love to camp and to travel for shows, but mostly I enjoy connecting with my friends. I’m on the same journey of self improvement and discovering my authentic self that you are and it would be an honor to go on it together.
